For ideological revolution, now Anna Discussion Forums
Seeking to reclaim lost ground in Lokpal agitation, Team Anna today asked people to form "Anna Discussion Forums" or "Swaraj Discussion Forums" across the country to deliberate on issues like corruption and democracy.
The appeal was issued by Anna Hazare and his key aide Arvind Kejriwal through a recorded telephonic message which people can access by dialling 09212123212.
Emphasising the need for an "ideological revolution" in the country, Kejriwal asked people to form "Swaraj Discussion Forums" or "Anna Discussion Forums" and deliberate on issues like corruption and democracy.
Hazare said people should take one or two hours from their life in a week and indulge in discussions concerning the country at the forums formed in villages, mohallas, cities and bastis.
He said people should discuss issues like electoral reforms, Right to Reject, decentralisation of power and importance of gram sabhas among other subjects.
"This will improve your knowledge and will be helpful in awakening the people," he said.
However, he warned people that some sections may "condemn you, attribute political motives to you" but one should not get disturbed.
Kejriwal said Team Anna will upload their views through statements and videos every Friday on issues to be discussed and the forums can choose a day to discuss them
