JKPS’ PGDM programme

AICTE approved JK Padampat Singhania Institute of Management & Technology invites applications for its two-year full time PGDM programme and two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) Banking and Insurance Services for session 2012-14.

Graduates in any discipline from a recognised university can apply. Candidates appearing in the final examination of 2012 can also apply. Applications can be purchased from the campus by paying Rs. 1200 in cash or downloaded and sent along with a DD of Rs. 1250 drawn in favour of “JKPS Fee Collection Account” payable at Gurgaon/Delhi.

The last date for submission of application is March 31, 2012.

PGPM programme from IWSB

The Indus World School of Business (IWSB), Noida is offering the following courses: The Post Graduate Program in Management. The first year will start with a 2-week long pre-term module in June. Though there are no formal credits, it is a mandatory part of the PGP. The pre-term has sessions on the fundamentals of Quantitative Methods, Statistics, Accounting and Economics.

All PGPM students will have to undergo all core courses in the first year which will lead to 48 credits. For a PGP student to continue his/her second year of the programme, he/she will have to complete all the courses.

Each course includes extensive readings, cases and web-based learning. During each course, students are assessed through quizzes, assignments, projects and end-term examinations. During the second year, students are expected to complete 51 credits which include five core courses and 12 elective courses.

A student is expected to do at least four elective courses (including CIS – Course of Independent Studies) in a domain area, for it to be considered as an area of concentration. A student can opt for an MBA degree from DDE, Pondicherry University. For this she/he will have to pay the necessary fees and attend extra sessions and take extra examinations. Period/ duration: Two years. Seats: 120. Fee: Rs 6,21,790 for two years.

Eligibility: You need to have a recognised three-year graduate degree, or equivalent, in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent marks in all three years. Students appearing for their final qualifying examinations in 2012 can also apply provided they submit a valid copy of their degree (or provisional degree) before October 1, 2012.

You need a valid CAT/XAT/SNAP/MAT/GMAT score. Scores up to last three years, as on February 2011, are valid. If you have appeared for these tests more than once in the last three years, you may apply on the basis of your best score.

Admissions for NET-JRF achievers


BASE announced its admissions for NET-JRF achiever, an online training programme for the National Eligibility Test (NET) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exams conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) every year. The programme will commence from February 15, 2012 and will end by June 2012.

Post graduates in Mathematics and Physics, aspiring to become degree college/university lecturers or research scholars can apply for this programme. The duration of the programme will be for three months, comprising of 100 sessions, each of two-hours duration.

The entire programme will be delivered online which will enable the candidates to pursue the programme with flexible timings from anywhere in the country. Classes will be pre-recorded and made available as per a drawn out schedule.
