Last Updated 16 February 2012, 19:14 IST

The High Court on Thursday, ordered contempt notice to Madikeri-Virajpet Civil Judge Krishna Tarimani for not disposing of a civil dispute as per the directions of the High Court.

The appellant Ravindra had moved the High Court when a solution to the civil dispute pertaining to property division between him and his sibling did not gather pace since 1999.

The petitioner had moved the Court seeking speedy disposal and the single Judge Justice Ashok Hinchigeri, back in 2010, had directed the Civil and Sessions Judge to dispose of the matter within 10 months. However, with the matter still pending, the petitioner filed a contempt petition.

The Division Bench comprising Justice K L Manjunath and Justice Govindarajulu ordered contempt notice.
