Looking Ahead

Actor Muzammil Ibrahim was in the City recently with actress Mugdha Godse to promote his third film, “Will You Marry Me?” The film, which also stars Shreyas Talpade and Rajeev Khandelwal, revolves around the life of three friends and their love interest.

Muzammil, who is also a renowned model has done more than 20 modelling campaigns and is the brand ambassador of at least five companies. He has also done many international campaigns, including some in Bangkok and  Italy.

He made his début in Bollywood with Dhoka, directed by Pooja Bhatt and written by Mahesh Bhatt. He played a double role in his second film, Horn Ok Pleassss with Nana Patekar and Rimi Sen, which hasn’t been released yet due to production issues. He was nominated for many awards as the ‘Best Newcomer’ for his role in Dhokha.

Muzammil says, “I have proved my acting skills in movies like Dhokha. Director Poojaji had seen me in music videos. One day, she called me from her office saying that she wanted to meet me. I met her and after a formal chat, she told me that I was chosen as the hero of Dhokha.” Muzammil has done music videos like Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai for Lucky Ali, and Pardesiya with Rakhi Sawant, which got him noticed.

Muzammil loves to be in Delhi during winters as he finds it very refreshing. “Every time I come here, I fall more and more in love with the City. After visiting various cities across the world, I can say that Delhi is a world class city in terms of infrastructure and administration.”

“I am still single. Although I have met many girls, I have never felt like dating anyone. I have heard a lot about the  beautiful girls of Delhi. So I will try my luck,” he laughs. Ask him about how he celebrated  Valentine’s Day and he says that his mother’s birthday falls on February 14 and he celebrated the day with his mother.

“Many times, I have gifted flowers to my girlfriends which my mother had received on her birthday.”
