A five year-old boy was found dead in a water sump outside his residence in neighbouring Ramanagara district today, police said.
The victim, Tanmay, is son of a software firm employee of Subhash Nagar.
According to neighbours, the boy's mother is mentally unstable and undergoing treatment for the problem. She could have unwittingly drowned her son.
