RTI activist selected for fellowship

The Department of Personnel and Trainings (DoPT), Government of India has awarded a Fellowship on Right to Information Act (RTI) to Harsha Raj Gatty.

The programme awarded by DoPT, invites journalists/activists/government officials from all over the country to apply, and however selects only four people for the three month research programme on RTI Act.

In this research programme, Gatty will examine on the ‘Lack of adequate capacity on the part of the marginalized groups to utilise the RTI effectively in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts’. Gatty is also the Founder and Coordinator of Whitewhistle - A forum promoting RTI, informed a press release.
