BSY can't escape, says Poojary

Congress leader Janardhan Poojary said Yeddyurappa should realise that he has many number of charges against him besides the one which was quashed by High Court. He said if BJP succumbs to the pressure of former CM, the party will be completely rooted out from the country.

Speaking to media persons, Poojary said former CM cannot escape from the charges as he is involved in land scams and also charges of denotifications. There are possibilities of Lokayukta appealing to the Supreme Court. Hence, there are absolutely no chances of Yeddyurappa’s acquittal from the charges. Sadananda Gowda will continue as CM and there might be no major developments in the political scenario of the State, he added.

Poojary said the result of the assembly polls held in five states is optimistic. Especially in UP where Congress had no strong base since 23 years, the party has been successful in gaining additional seats. The development shows the impact of Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. He has worked diligently and is committed to do so in future also despite the result of the polls. The Party has not encountered disgraceful defeat in any of the four states where we have failed to emerge as single majority party.  In contrast, BJP except in Goa, has descended to a lower level of popularity amongst voters, he added.

He said the groups of Sangh Pariwars are into unnecessary hue and cry regarding UPA government’s decision to offer 4.5 per cent reservation to minorities out of 27 per cent OBC quota.

He added the percentage makes no major differences in the facilities that are made available to OBCs as minorities are in a little portion.
