<p>The class 11 final examination papers for Chemistry, Economics, Biology, Maths and Business Studies at a well-known school in Noida were leaked before the tests, forcing the institute to schedule a repeat exam in two of the subjects next week, said students.<br /></p>.<p>Chief public relations officer of Amity International School denied that any paper had leaked before the tests were recently held. She however failed to explain why exams in two subjects were being held again if the papers had not leaked out.<br /><br />The chief PRO added that her seniors will be able to comment on the issue but they were busy on Friday evening at a school event being attended by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. At the same time she confirmed, without naming subjects and dates, that “two papers” have now been “rescheduled.”<br /><br />Children claim that exam papers had leaked out to a section of students a little ahead of the tests which were held between February 21 and March 6. Some students reportedly got email from friends the night before, giving details of the questions which were supposed to come up. Later, the school authorities apparently decided to hold exams again in five subjects. On Friday morning, a circular giving the dates was handed over to students. Maths was to be repeated on March 13, Chemistry on March 14, and Economics and Biology on March 17.<br /><br />Business Studies too was mentioned, according to students.<br /><br />Class 11 students were upset at the idea of giving the exams once again, particularly when there was hardly any preparation time between two tests. Some had planned trips outside Delhi next week.<br /><br />Children in groups went to meet the principal and other senior teachers, protesting against the school's decision. Some students reportedly asked where was the proof that the papers had actually leaked out. <br /><br />Students said the principal told them she would meet heads of other Amity branches as well. Some time after the `protest', the circular appeared to have been withdrawn. Instead of five subjects, the school decided to `reschedule' exams for Maths and another subject.<br /><br />There is a buzz in the school that the Physics paper too had leaked out, but the teachers drafted a new version just ahead of the actual exam.<br /><br />It is not immediately clear if other Amity branches, in Delhi and Gurgaon, too were affected by the paper leak.</p>
