Renovated Mayura Shantala beckons visitors

A renovated design, better and cleaner looking rooms, indoor restaurant that resembles a star restaurant, and cushion chairs that make dining a comfortable experience and a facility to eat outdoors, under the shade of a tree.

And, all this isn’t what a super-costly star hotel has to offer. All this has been made possible by Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) at Mayura Shantala, Halebeedu. The hotel that had reached its pits with what it had to offer till last year, has now leapt back with new design, and beautiful premises.

The place was renovated at a cost of Rs 25 lakh and promises a comfortable stay at affordable rates. The locals and tourists, who had seen the hotel steep to a low with unhygienic surroundings and unprofessional service, is now sparkling with new facilities.

Completely hygienic kitchen and professional staff are sure to make the hotel a ‘must-stay’ option for every visiting tourist. About 30 people can dine at the restaurant and 32 can have food at garden restaurant. Four rooms with accommodation for two and four people have been built here. However, people hope, considering the inflow of tourists, the rooms would be increased to 10 in the future.
