Council members take buggy to work

Members of the Legislative Council have begun using the battery-operated vehicle to commute between Legislators’ Home and the State secretariat.

A section of the Council members, including Council Chairman D H Shankarmurthy, were seen arriving at Vidhana Soudha in the brand new battery-operated vehicle.

Making an announcement in the House, Shankarmurthy said the Council has purchased two cars and would ply the vehicles as per scheduled timings.

The ferry service is the brainchild of Shankarmurthy, who believes that it will solve the parking problem on the Vidhana Soudha premises and prevent air pollution.
