He visited the paddy fields, tortoise raring canters, fish ponds and spoke to the farmers who have taken up additional income generating activities along with agriculture with the help of a Chinese interpreter.
The Chief Minister also visited the rural roadside vegetable and fruit market and
acquainted with the marketing of the farm produce,
according to an official release.
World expo
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister and members of the delegation visited the Shanghai Urban Infrastructure Exhibition Centre, where he was briefed about the future city planning (2030) and also the proposed Shanghai World Expo 2010, the release
stated.
