Swine flu: CGHS team visits RGICD

The team was led by A K Sethi, Director General of health services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Sources said the director visited the BIA and the hospital to inspect the facilities available in the State to tackle swine flu.

Dr Sashidhar Buggi, director of RGICD said, “We have requested the Director General to develop the centre further with central aid. More quarantine facilities are needed. As an autonomous institute established by the State government, there is a need to further develop the institute in terms of infrastructure and manpower.”

Meanwhile, a male patient , who had returned to the City on May 10, came to RGICD on Wednesday with a sore throat . “The patient had sore throat with mild cough. We have prescribed a dose of antibiotics and decongestion drugs. He has no symptoms of H1N1,” said Dr Buggi.
