<p>Bollywood hero Anil Kapoor might have taken charge as the Chief Minister of a state for a day in a Bollywood masala and pledged to change the system, but for 10-year-old Aniket Parmar it came as a surprise when he was asked to take charge as an ACP for a day.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The boy in the last stages of his bone cancer always dreamt of becoming an IPS officer was at the Civil Hospital at Ahmedabad for his chemotherapy session when he was asked to wear a police uniform and taken to the Commissioner’s Office.<br /><br />Aniket was taken in a mobile ICU and was accompanied by a doctor and a nurse. At the police headquarters a red carpet welcome awaited him, he was given a salute by his subordinates flanked by the Commissioner of Police and Joint Police Commissioner to the police station. Aniket was then asked to take down the complaint of a teenager who registered a complaint of his neighbours who always played loud music thus he was not able to concentrate on his studies.<br /><br />The initiative of fulfilling Aniket’s dream was taken by the city police and city based NGO Make a Wish Foundation. “We could never imagine that Aniket would be able to fulfil his dreams but thanks to this initiative, Aniket was smiling for the whole day after a long time,’’ said his father Narayan Parmar.<br /><br />A few weeks ago, volunteers of the NGO had visited Aniket at the hospital and there he shared his desire of becoming a police officer. The NGO communicated his wish to the police department, which later gave the permission whole heartedly.<br />He was diagnosed with bone cancer six months ago.<br /></p>
