<p>As many as 13 gazetteers were updated, reprinted and launched, at a programme organised to mark the release of Gazetteer Publications and also the launch of redesigned website of the Karnataka Gazetteer Department, here on Wednesday.<br /><br />On the occasion, Kolar and Udupi districts got their gazetteers in English. The Kolar gazetteer is priced Rs 700 and the Udupi gazetteer at Rs 770.<br /><br />Five books</p>.<p>A total of five books - comprising nine volumes of C Hayavadana Rao’s ‘Mysore Gazetteer’ were reprinted and launched. <br /><br />The set, along with a CD, is priced at Rs 3,800. <br /><br />The department also launched three imperial gazetteers of the Hyderabad Nizam period, which are priced Rs 300 each.<br /><br />M V Krishna Rao’s ‘Glimpses of Karnataka,’ released in 1960, was also relaunched.<br /> The book has been updated and revised by Prof S Nagaraj and others, said, Chief Editor of the department, Neela Manjunath. The book is priced Rs 300. <br /><br />All these books were added to the department’s list of popular gazetteer collection. <br /><br />The gazetteers were to be launched by Minister for Kannada and Culture Govind Karjol, who could not make it, as he was touring the drought-hit areas.<br /><br /></p>
