JOIN USSleuths of Central Crime Bureau’s (CCB) Cheating and Misuse Wing raided a computer spare shop - Newtech Computers - on Wood Street on Wednesday and arrested two men on the charge of manufacturing and selling ink cartridges and toners using fake labels of popular companies.
Pavan Kumar, 29, and Mohan, 21, are the arrested.
The other two accused - Vaviya Patel Jayasukh and Naveen Patel - escaped.
Police have also seized machinery used for manufacturing and refilling printer cartridges and toners and labels of leading brands. A case has been registered at the Ashok Nagar police station and further investigation is on.
Man held for betting
In another operation, CCB Special Investigation Cell raided a house in Srinagar and arrested
Basavaraj for indulging in cricket betting. Other two accused, Kailash and Ajith, managed to escape.
The police have seized Rs one lakh in cash, a television set and three mobile phones from the house.
Hanumanthnagar police are investigating.
