They would stay in hotels in the City and target lone women, elderly women on morning walks and women drawing rangoli in front of their houses. They used to snatch at least three chains per day.

They would stay in the City for about three days and leave for Delhi either by train or flight. Before leaving the City, they used to park the bike at the Yeshwantpur railway station parking lot.

They would wear the ornaments while travelling by flight. They were allegedly involved in as many as 40 chain snatching cases in the City, added the police. They used to sell the chains in Uttar Pradesh. Police are searching for their four associates.
