For a refreshing change

May 19, 2012, DHNS:

Who doesn’t like a good getaway? And the City is filled with many such weekend getaways in the outskirts. Like Wonderla, an amusement park, that recently launched its very own resort, called the ‘Wonderla Resorts’.

Be it families, corporates or anyone who is looking for a relaxing and refreshing change, this place takes one away from the hustle bustle of the City.

Conceived as a ‘luxury’ extension to the amusement park, the resort is surrounded by acres of lush greenery and presents a unique combination of leisure, luxury and fun. “Till today, the amusement park was just a day-long affair but now, with the introduction of the resort, families can actually look forward to making it a fun-filled weekend as well,” says Rafique M, from Wonderla Holidays Pvt Ltd.

The oversized statues of giraffes, elephants and even monkeys decorating the resort remind one that the fun just doesn’t stop at the amusement park. Children have a separate play area and a recreation room in the resort has made space even for adults.

For those just want to relax, there’s enough and more one can do at the resort itself. But if one is put up in the rooms that overlooks the various rides, the temptation to visit the amusement park will get the best of you. And it will definitely not disappoint because there is a ride for every age. “People think that amusement parks are only for kids but Wonderla has proved that this is only a myth. We have ensured that there is something for everyone who visits us,” adds Rafique.

Interestingly, the resort has also doubled as a business hotel with many business and banquet halls. The exclusive board room also makes the resort the perfect place for a business meetings combined with wholesome entertainment. The resort also has a rest-o-bar called the ‘Red Ice’ and even a restaurant called ‘Woods’, where guests are treated to wide-spread buffets ranging from Indian, Chinese to Continental cuisines.

“Going forward, our plan is to have resorts attached to each of our theme parks. We are set to make this exciting foray into the hospitality space with the promise to offer our guests the best, in terms of both services and amenities,” says Arun K Chittilappilly, Managing Director of Wonderla Holidays.
