Kalam's `PURA' vision set to be launched in Karnataka

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa announced in the Legislative Assembly the government's intention to realise Kalam's concept with a new project -- `Kalampura'.

In this regard, physical, social and financial infrastructure, available in cities, would be provided along with communication network, at the level of Hobli (villages of a taluk grouped into smaller clusters).

"This project would be implemented in 200 hoblis in rural assembly segments", he said, replying to a three-day debate on issues relating to agriculture and rural development.
Process would be initiated to prepare a detailed project report on the initiative this year itself.

Based on the report, clusters of villages would be developed based on Kalam's vision. A consultative meeting would be organised with Kalam along with Ministers and officials, before preparing the next year's budget, the Chief Minister added.
