Akash missile test fired again
India’s indigenously developed Akash missile was test fired again on Saturday from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)-run Interim Test Range (ITR) located at Chandipur in Odisha’s Balasore district. This was the surface to air missile's second test launch within a week.
The nuclear capable missile which has already been inducted into the Indian armed forces was successfully test fired from the same missile testing centre last Thursday.
Sources in the Balasore district administration said, the missile was fired at around 11:09 am from launch pad number three of the premier missile testing centre.
