Mass copying at Kuvempu varsity exams

Candidates who appeared for the post graduate examinations at the Bangalore centre of Kuvempu University Correspondence Courses were on Monday found violating many rules and regulations. The examinations scheduled for MCom, MA, MSc and M Library Science courses saw students indulging in malpractices.

One of the candidates, who was questioned by the invigilator on why he had carried his bag into the examination, said that he had returned from his hometown this morning. On further checking the bag, about six pieces of paper with answers were found.
Mobile phones and bags were kept inside the examination hall and students were found using the phones despite warnings from the invigilator. Moreover, staff crunch too encouraged candidates to violate rules and to indulge in malpractices.

The examination also began late although it was scheduled to begin at 9 am. The examination venue was at institutions located in Yeshwantpur, Begur and KR circle.
More than 1,000 students appeared for exams conducted in the morning, while nearly 400 attended the afternoon session.

The examination for correspondence courses offered by Kuvempy University began on September 6 and will go on till September 25.

this is a news for the people who wrote exams itself.. me myself being a student. it is not a good thing to generalise the news like this, which would affect the image of the candidates who wrote the exams with so much of preparation with hardwork.
