Miscreants flee with silver jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh

Some unidentified miscreants broke open the window panes of a car belonging to a jeweller and decamped with silver ornaments worth over rupees Rs 2 lakh here, police said today.
According to police, Abhay Ranka, a city-based jeweller had parked his vehicle in the parking slot after purchasing silver ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh in an exhibition being held at a hotel last night and kept it in a bag at the back seat.
When Ranka again went inside the Hotel to make some enquiries, the miscreants broke open the window panes of the car and decamped with the booty, police said.
