Scholarships for II PUC students

Following the Human Resources Development (HRD) Ministry’s announcement of scholarships for meritorious II PU students, the Department of Pre-University Education (PUE) has invited applications from meritorious candidates, who have passed the exams in 2009.

The PUE Department has sent applications and instructions on scholarships to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Visvesvaraya Technological University , Gandhi Krish Vignana Kendra , Veterinary Sciences University and Collegiate Education departments. Students may contact the college principals to get applications or may download the same from the PUE website.

The last date to send the applications is October 10, 2009. The principals will then have to submit the applications to the PUE Department. Students applying for the scholarship should come under the category whose parents’ income is less than Rs 4.5 lakh and do not belong to the creamy layer as stated by the  Central government.

Students, who can avail the scholarships, should presently be enrolled in three-year degree courses or professional courses. The students  selected for the scholarships will receive Rs 1,000 for 10 months. If the student continues to secure 60 pc marks and above , the scholarship may be extended. Students may visit www.pue.kar.nic.in
