IIIT-B gets skill development centre
The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-B) has set up a centre that promises help to students get jobs and hone their skills.
The institute, launched by the Bangalore Skill Development and Employability Centre, in association with TalentSprint, a company that grooms professionals for the Information Technology (IT) and the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industries.
TalentSprint will also build a Global Talent Academy in Karnataka, Santanu Paul, Managing Director and CEO, TalentSprint, said.
It has signed an Expression of Interest with the State government in this connection. The Academy will train entry-level professionals. It will conceive, design, and deliver various programmes for the needs of the IT, ITeS, and banking industries in the State.
M N Vidyashankar, Principal Secretary, Commerce and Industries, IT, BT, and S&T, said that the Academy would help the government to give jobs to 20 people.
