Rajkiran powers ADE to facile win
Rajkiran’s brace helped Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) register a 3-0 victory over BEL Sports Club in the BDFA Super Division league at the Bangalore Football stadium on Thursday.
ADE have eight points from six matches after their second victory of the league while BEL are heading towards relegation with their seventh defeat in as many games.
Sridhar struck the first goal for ADE in the fifth minute while Rajkiran’s goals came in the 26th and 58th minutes.
With things not going their way, the frustration got to the BEL players and Nagaraj, who had received a yellow card in the 16th minute for a reckless against ADE’s Santhosh, earned a second yellow and red in the 40th minute for a serious foul on ADE’s Manivannan.
BEL had to go back to the drawing board trailing 0-2 at half-time. The second session was a drab affair with both teams struggling to go all the way. In the 58th minute, however, Rajkiran broke the jinx as he tripled the lead for ADE with a solo effort from the right.
Apart from Rajkiran’s effort in the 71st minute when the ball went wide off the left post, there were no real chances for the both sides in the remaining 19 minutes as the game went to ADE.
