Diploma counselling from July 6

Bangalore, June 30, 2012, DHNS:

The counselling for admission to three-year diploma in engineering courses in government and aided polytechnics in the State will commence on July 6.

The final merit list will be published on dte.kar.nic.in, www.dtekarnataka.in and www.diplomaadmission.in on July 2. The counselling is scheduled as follows: Admission round for day polytechnics: Special category students (offline seat selection)

* Horanadu Kannadiga, Gadinadu Kannadiga, and Scouts and Guides: 8 am; July 6; Department of Technical Education, Palace Road, Bangalore.
* NCC: 8 am; July 6; Govt SJ Polytechnic, Seshadri Road, Bangalore.
* Sports and Games: 8 am; July 6; Govt Polytechnic for Women, SJP Campus, Seshadri Road, Bangalore.
* JOC: 8 am; July 6; Giridhar Ramanarayana Institute of Commercial Practice (GRICP), SJP Campus, Seshadri Road, Bangalore.
* Physically disabled and JTS students: 8 am, July 6; All 11 nodal centres in Karnataka.
* Ex-defence and Defence: 8 am; July 7; All 11 nodal centres.
Admission round-one for other students at 11 nodal
centres:

* July 9: Rank 1 to 1,200
* July 10: Rank 1,201 to 3,000
* July 11: Rank 3,001 to 5,000
* July 12: Rank 5,001 to 7,000
* July 13: Rank 7,001 to 9,000

The timetable for students ranked between 9,001 and the last rank, and the casual vacancy round will be announced on July 11, according to DTE Director, H U Talawar.

Fees revised


Fees for admission to three-year diploma in engineering courses for the 2012-13 academic year have been revised. Here’s the new fee structure:
    * Govt polytechnics: Rs 3,600 (tuition fee of Rs 2,300,
    development fee of Rs 500 and miscellaneous fee of Rs 800)
    * Aided polytechnics: Rs 5,700 (tuition fee of Rs 4,400,
    development fee of Rs 500 and miscellaneous fee of Rs 800)
    * Unaided polytechnics: Karnataka students: Rs 10,750
    (tuition fee of Rs 9,450, development fee of Rs 500 and
    miscellaneous fee of Rs 800)
    * Non-Karnataka students: 16,800 (tuition fee of Rs 15,500,      
    development fee of Rs 500 and miscellaneous fee of Rs 800)

The fees have to be paid in cash.
