A two-year old tiger was found dead near Gundre Forest Range near Bandipur Tiger Sanctuary in the taluk. The tiger is suspected to have died due to territorial fighting, according to Dr Nagaraju.
The carcass was found near Doddahalli camp at Gundre forest range, and is suspected to have died around 10 days ago.
The nails of the tiger was found intact, it is said.
PCCF Hosmutt, CF Kumar Pushkar, Tiger Conservator officer Shivakumar, Zonal forest officer Nataraj and staff visited the spot.
