Mahima, Shikha bag three crowns each
Mahima Aggarwal and Shikha Gautam had a field day on the final day of the five-star State-ranking badminton tournament, bagging three titles each here on Wednesday.
The second-seeded Mahima overcame the loss of second set to beat Shikha, seventh seed, 25-23, 17-21, 21-18 to clinch the under-17 girls’ singles title. Shikha, however, defeated Mahima 21-19, 21-12 to win the under-15 final.
The PPBA trainees joined hands to claim the U-17 and U-15 doubles crowns to round off a fruitful day.
Daniel S Farid had a rather easy outing in the boys’ under-17 final as he swatted aside Akashraj Murthy 21-7, 21-11.
