Malleswaram score over ACE

Sanjay Nair’s all-round performance powered Malleswaram United Cricket Club to a 48-run victory over ACE Cricketers in the Dell-KSCA Group I, Division IV tournament for the Metro Shield on Monday.

Batting first, Malleswaram United posted 338 for nine in 50 overs with Nair (63), David Johnson (53) and Varun Bharadwaj (50) cracking half-centuries. Zunaid Khan (2/30) and Abhishek (2/58) scalped two wickets apiece for ACE.

Chasing a mammoth 339 for a win, ACE were restricted to 290/7 in 50 overs despite an unbeaten 95 from Mukund Balaji. Nair was the chief wrecker for Malleshwaram United claiming three for 51.
