Soudha library upgraded

A renovated library for legislators was inaugurated by Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar in the Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday. 

The existing library, in room 28 of the Vidhana Soudha, has been provided high-speed internet facility and has also been centrally airconditioned. It has a collection of 1.3 lakh books, reports of various commissions, compilation of government orders and gazetteers.

It also subscribes to 47 periodicals. The process of digitising various reports in the library is in progress. D H Shankaramurthy, Chairpeson of the Legislative Council, said academicians and research scholars can make use of the library on request.
