<p>More than 20 areas in the City will receive Cauvery water for the first time by September first week, with the BWSSB’s partial commissioning of the Cauvery IV Stage II Phase by August end. <br /><br /></p>.<p>To provide water to newly added areas in the City, the BWSSB has created three new divisions - South-West, North-East and North- West. The water board has created new sub-stations in areas like Kothanurdinne, Kodichikkanahalli, Kengeri, Ideal Home, BEML 3rd Stage, Hegganahalli, Peenya, Peenya Dasarahalli, Bahubali Nagar, MEI Layout, Yelahanka New Town, Yelahanka Old Town, Jakkur, Vidyaranyapura, Sahakarnagar, HBR Layout, OMBR Layout, HRBR Layout, AECS Layout, Hoodi, Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, Devasandra, KR Puram and Ramamurthy Nagar.<br /><br />The board has provided service connections to as many as 1.15 lakh houses, the officials said.<br /><br />However, the number of connections will be increased to 2.83 lakh in the near future, in a bid to provide water to around eight lakh consumers in the City. <br /><br />To get new water connections, consumers will have to pay Rs 2,040, as beneficiary capital contribution, towards installation of water meters.<br /><br />The board has started to install meters in Bommanahalli and other areas in the City.<br /><br />List of documents<br /><br />Moreover, to regularise or get new water connections, consumers can submit either of the following documents - sanction plan, khata or the receipt of property tax paid.<br /><br />In case of dispute with regard to the property, the board will disconnect water supply and sanitary house service connections without prior notice.
