DC lauds Hassan KSRTC for its services to people
Deputy Commissioner K P Mohanraj suggested that private organisations should join hands with KSRTC in providing quality transport system to the benefit of the people.
Speaking at the 51st founders day celebration of KSRTC in Hassan on Wednesday he said, more than 70 per cent of the people travel by KSRTC buses in the state. People have good opinion on the transport system and the authorities should provide bus services on the routes where there is a great demand, he suggested.
As the sand policy is in force in the district, illegal sand mining has been curbed up to 99 per cent. The roads can be protected by preventing over loading of lorries, which would indirectly help in smooth vehicular traffic.
The government and the district administration will support the employees of transport department who work under stress all the day, he said.
AVK Women’s college deputy principal Dr H L Malleshgowda opined that the financial status of the country is supported by cooperative sector. Every body play an important role in the success of a particular company. The blotch of the company is lost and has become a favourite transport of the people, he said.
Hassan divisional controller Santosh Kumar Shetty said KSRTC is topping the list for its service and has also become popular in international level, he said.
