One new dengue case
Even though spells of rain have been very few in the Capital, one new dengue case was reported here on Tuesday. A 43-year-old man from Okhla Industrial Area was diagnosed with the vector-borne disease, said Dr N K Yadav, municipal health officer. This has taken the toll to 10 so far in Delhi this season. Last year total number of dengue cases was 25.
However, the number of malaria cases has shown a substantial increase. Till now total reported cases stand at 165. “There is nothing to panic about malaria cases. There is an average incidence and this falls within that range,” said Dr Yadav.
