Condemning the attack at a Wisconsin’s gurdwara in the US, the BJP in a letter to the US ambassador on Tuesday demanded adequate security for all gurdwaras and Hindu temples in that country.

“The recent barbaric act is against humanity. Killing seven Sikhs and grievously injuring 30 people, is unpardonable and terrorism against humanity,” said BJP state spokesperson Vijay Jolly in a letter to Nancy Powell, the US ambassador. “Attacking innocent people, spilling their blood and desecrating the gurdwara, where the holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib is placed, has globally hurt millions of Hindus, Christians, Sikhs & Muslims alike,” the letter added BJP has demanded that injured be provided best medical facilities besides adequate compensation to the kith & kin of those who got killed in the attack.  “This incident comes close on the heels of the US Marines personnel’s unprovoked firing at an Indian fisherman in Dubai, UAE, a few weeks ago. We wish to state that these ugly incidents are hurting the mindset of average Indians. US government should take a serious note of it,” said the letter. The party hopes the US government will probe this “domestic act of terrorism ”.
