The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) postponed all Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and allied Health Sciences exams scheduled to commence on August 23, in the interest of students from North-East studying in the university.
Addressing the principals of the colleges concerned, RGUHS vice-chancellor asked them to provide extra protection to students from the region who have decided not to go back.
He also directed the principals to convince students who have gone home fearing threats, to come back at the earliest. Colleges could also approach local police for help, he said. The rescheduled dates for the exams have not yet been announced.
