A 49-year-old Maine woman has given birth to her grandson after deciding to rent womb for her daughter's baby.

Linda Sirois, carried the baby for her daughter Angel Hebert after she was diagnosed with a heart condition that ruled out the possibility of her becoming a mother.

"It was all pretty simple as far as I was concerned," said Sirosis.

Sirosis also said that she had let her daughter know for years that she would be very willing to be the surrogate mother for Hebert, 'Portland Press Herald' reported.

Angel and husband Brian Hebret, who were disheartened after learning that they can never become parents, admitted that they never took Sirois's idea of 'renting her womb' seriously.

"It was pretty disappointing and we were pretty upset about it. But we kind of had an idea that it was a possibility and, all along, my mother was saying, 'I'm here and I can carry for you.' I guess we didn't really take her seriously," Brian said.

"I called her last summer and I'm like, 'So, you know that offer you've been offering? Is that offer still on the table?' " Angel said.

Sirois called all the fertility clinics she could, but most rejected her because of the age.
However, finally the Reproductive Science Center in Lexington, agreed as long as Sirois passed some tests.

Sirois, who has already had four kids before she gave birth to her grandson Madden, insisted that the pregnancy may have been her easiest, with no morning sickness or complications.

"I didn't have any young children around-my youngest are in college-so that made it easier," she said.
