Two sisters drowned in a pond during Ganesha idol immersion in Rajendrahalli village of Mulbagal on Thursday.
The dead Soundraya, 18 and her sister Aishwarya, 15, were daughters of Venkateshappa.
The parents panicked when they did not return from the immersion after a long time.
They found the bodies near the pond. Nangali police have registered a complaint.
