'Plan Samarasya Dasara to include all religions'

District in-charge minister S A Ramdas directed officials to plan for organising a ‘Samarasya Dasara’ to involve people from all religions during the Dasara festival.

He was speaking at the Dasara preliminary meeting at the office of the deputy commissioner on Tuesday.

He said programmes should be organised keeping in mind participation of Muslim, Christian and Parsi communities.

Also, students who have participated at national and international-level in sports and cultural programmes would be feted during this year’s festivities.

He directed officials to provide publicity about the festivities by installing signages on all national highways.

Sign boards with a list of programmes should be installed on all highways leading to Mysore and also on the Outer Ring road, he added.

DC P S Vastrad, police commissioner K L Sudheer, MCC commissioner M R Ravi and  others were present.
