Theatre artiste and MP B Jayashree has been chosen for the annual ‘Dr
Kota Shivarama Karanth Huttura Prashasti’ for 2012.
The award will be given to Jayashree on the occasion of the birth anniversary of lateKota Shivaram Karanth on October
10, at Kota.
The award is instituted bynthe Kotathattu Gram Panchayat in Udupi district, in memory
of the Jnanpith Award winner late Kota Shivaram Karanth since 2005.
As a Director of National School of Drama and Rangayana, she gave new dimension to stage art.
