KALS claim overall crown

Vidyaniketan Schools Manav completes grand double

Hosts Karaumbaiah Academy of Learning and Sports (KALS) scored 129 points to lift the overall title on the concluding day of the KISA Athletics Championships at the Sree Kanteerava stadium here on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Vidyaniketan’s Manav R Kapai  won the Senior boys’ 200M gold, timing 24.09s while Dheeraj MV of KALS bagged the silver at 24.11.

Dheeraj’s school-mate Sreenath settled for the bronze with 24.71s.
The 17-year-old Manav completed a grand double later in the day by winning the long jump gold with a leap of 5.74 metres.
