Modi faces question on trip costs
While Gujarat Chief minister Narendra Modi has been targeting the UPA government for not disclosing expenses incurred on Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s foreign travels, allegations are now surfacing against his government for not providing similar information sought by an activist from Ahmedabad.
RTI Activist Bharat Jhala alleged that he had filed a petition under the RTI Act on August 13 seeking to know the details of Modi’s recent high profile five day visit to Japan. But according to Jhala, the government is yet to provide adequate responses to his questions. “They have been only talking in round-about terms and refraining from providing any clear answer to my questions,” she said.
