Rajajinagar Cricketers to face WGCC

Rajajinagar Cricketers will take on Wilson Garden CC in the final of the Dell-KSCA Group I, Division IV league for the Metro Shield here.

Rajajinagar Cricketers moved into the summit clash by virtue of first innings lead in their drawn semifinal with IISc Gymkhana while Wilson Garden trounced Duleep Cricketers by 10 wickets to make the final cut.

Raghaveer’s 6/41 had helped Rajajinagar restrict Gym-khana to a modest 103 all out in the first innings while Sagar (90) and Parikshith Nar-asimha (70) lifted them to 306 all out in reply. Gymkhana were 112/3 in 17 overs in their second essay when the match was called off.

Wilson Garden rode on Sourabh’s blistering 151-ball 166 (20x4, 3x6) to amass 363/9 in 55 overs to establish a 218-run lead over Duleep Cricketers’ first innings score of 145 all out.

Though Duleep managed an impressive 243/5 in 30 overs in their second essay, Wilson Garden were left with only a target of 26 which they accomplished in just 2.1 overs with all 10 wickets intact.
