One of world’s most revered gods of guitar, Carlos Santana, enthralled Bangaloreans with his heavenly and magical riffs at Bharthiya City here on Friday.

The Indus Creed band from Mumbai opened for Santana and set the mood for the musical extravaganza with fast-paced numbers like ‘Bulletproof’ and ‘Take it Harder’.

People began to dance right from the first energetic samba beats of the first song of the two-hour show.

‘Black Magic Woman’, probably the most well-known song of Santana, was thoroughly relished by the crowd.

This was followed immediately by the soothing ‘Oy Como Va’, another hit from 70’s.
Other popular numbers belted out on a lively evening were the sensuous ‘Maria Maria’, the all-time favourite ‘Europa’, the foot-tapping ‘Jingo’, and the recent hit ‘Smooth.’

The highlight of the night was, a drum solo by Santana’s wife, Cyndi Blackman, which left the crowd in total awe.
