A five-year-old boy was found dead in a lake in Kadugodi on Thursday under mysterious circumstances.
The dead was identified as Satish, a resident of Slum Board apartment. According to the police, a few local residents noticed a boy’s body floating in Sadarmangala lake and informed the police.
The police retrieved the body and established his identity. The parents of Satish alleged that their neighbour Selvam, 28, abducted their son, murdered him and then threw the body in the lake.
The police are ascertaining whether it is a case of murder or an accidental fall in the lake, added the police.
