Mohit hits century in drawn tie

Mohit P’s century for President’s XI was the highlight of their drawn encounter against Tumkur in the KSCA under-16 inter-zonal tournament.

Mohit smashed 148 (198b, 14x4) as President’s XI declared their first innings at 266/7 in 80 overs in reply to Tumkur’s modest total of 132. Faced with a first innings deficit of 134, Tumkur fared much better in their second essay, making 184/2 in 64 overs to force a draw.
President’s XI earned three points, while Tumkur got one.

Brief scores: Raichur: 347/9 in 90 overs (Vishal Shinde 97, Chandrakanth 64, Rajesh Kannoor 53, Varun 45 n.o., Raghavendra 26, Pratik Bandari 26; Siddaram 3-74, Yashwith 2-94) and 154/3 in 36.4 overs (Pratik Bandari 51, Raghavendra 50) drew with Mangalore: 336 all out in 89.4 ovs (Nithin M 95, Anirudh 46, Harsha 42, Dhruva 37; Chandrakanth 4-109, Raghavendra 3-83). Tumkur: 132 all out in 58.1 overs (N Jayanth 52, Mohamad Abrar 28 n.o.; Mashooq Hussain 2-18, Likith Bannur 4-24, Lohith Gowda 3-36) and 184/2 in 64 overs (N Jayanth 92, Sumanth P G 52 n.o.) drew with President’s XI: 266/7 in 80 overs (Mohit P 148, Rishi Boppanna 36, Ankit Udupa 32, Mukund Balaji 27; Mohamed Zeeshan 2-34, Punith A 4-69).
