Boy dies in accident in Chintamani

Chintamani, Nov 14, 2012, DHNS :

 A 11-year-old boy died on the spot after a tractor rammed his cycle near Adarsh Theatre on MG Road in the city on Tuesday.

Police have identified the dead as Tejas, son of Chalapathi and Mala, residents of Narasimhapet in the city.

Tejas, a student of Class six at a private school in the city was returning home after visiting a friend when the accident occurred.

Police said the tractor coming from the opposite direction rammed the cycle. Tejas, who fell down, came under the rear wheel of the vehicle.

The post mortem was conducted at Government Hosptial and the body was handed over the relatives.

City police station Inspecor Nanjappa visited the spot and a case has been registered.
