Nirmal shines for RBI

Bangalore, Nov 17, 2012,DHNS:

Nirmal S smashed an unbeaten century to power Reserve Bank of India to a facile nine-wicket win over BDSA South Western Railway, Bangalore, in the KSCA Group II, Division II league match.

Batting first BDSA made 195/8 in 30 overs with Srikanth hitting 102 and Basavaraj contributing 60. RBI, riding on Nirmal’s unbeaten 111, easily overhauled the target in the 24th over. Dheeraj chipped in with 36.

 Brief scores: LRDE Sports Club: 181/9 in 30 overs (Mohd Saif 32, Syed Nizam 30, Ravikant 47; Jagadish 2-28, Karthik 2-35) bt Bosch Sports Club, Naganathapura: 113 all out in 18 overs (Harsha 47; Prabhakar 4-40, Venkat 2-6, Ravikant 2-10). BDSA South Western Railway, Bangalore: 195/8 in 30 overs (Srikanth 102, Basavaraj 60; Ashwin Punja 3-17, Dheeraj 2-25, Nirmal S 2-19) lt to Reserve Bank of India: 199/1 in 23.2 overs (Dheeraj 36, Nirmal S 111 n.o.).
