AP Congress rattled

Last Updated 19 November 2012, 18:49 IST

The eleven page note to the Congress high command purportedly written by Union Minister from Andhra Pradesh (AP) Kishore Chandra Deo allegedly describing the state party chief Botsa Satyanarayana a mafia don and the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as incompetent has created a flutter.

Deo, a staunch supporter of tribal rights has been opposing bauxite mining in the predominantly tribals areas of north eastern AP and has reportedly said the party has no future in the state unless it removed both the leaders.

The Tribal Affairs and Panchayati Raj minister in his note has described Botsa as the “fountainhead of corruption”. “It will be hard to find a worse person for this post than the incumbent.”

The excerpts of the letter published in the print media prompted Deo to deny that he ever wrote a note to the high command.
