Seminar on Moily's literature on Nov 24

A seminar of integrated literary works of Union minister for petroleum and natural gas M Veerappa Moily has been organised on November 24 at JSS Women’s College.

Addressing a press meet on Thursday, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat president M Chandrashekar said the programme has been organised jointly with JSS Women’s College and Vidya Vikas Educational Institution. Moily will be brought in a procession from Kukkarahalli lake to the college.

Mayor M C Rajeshwari will inaugurate the procession at 9 am, corporator R Lingappa will preside over and assistant director of Kannada and culture department K N Annegowda will be the guest. Various cultural troupes will participate in the procession.

Briefing about the programme, he said, it will be inaugurated by writer De Javare Gowda at 10 am, scholar Hampa Nagarajaiah will preside over. Moily will unveil the name board of ‘Navajyothi’ auditorium. Ex-director general of police S Krishna Murthy will release the book ‘Munnade.’

Special officer of JSS Mahavidyapeeth K M Nagannachar, honorary secretary of parishat Y D Rajanna, convenor Mugur Nanjunda Swamy, Shivaram and others were present.
