Unmukt, Dhawan slam tons to put Delhi in control

New Delhi, Nov 24, 2012, DHNS: 22:48 IST
The Delhi camp wore a mischievous smile on Saturday. Like an unexpected windfall, Tamil Nadu invited Delhi to bat and the hosts hungrily lapped up the offering as if making amends for a similar decision in their previous match against Baroda.

Expectedly, Delhi were off to a flourishing start through the centuries of skipper Shikhar Dhawan (104, 175b, 18x4) and Unmukt Chand,

The scorecard at the end of the day reflected Tamil Nadu’s plight. Chand was batting on 134 (228b, 16x4, 2x6) in the company of left-hander Mohit Sharma (40) with Delhi mustering 287/1 in 80 overs.
