The scrutiny of the nominations for the December 5 Indian Olympic Association (IOA) elections took place here on Saturday.
The returning officer Justice (Retd) V K Bali said the scrutiny process was almost over and there was a possibility of the Election Commission announcing the final list of valid nominations on Monday.
Justice Bali admitted there were objections on a few nominations but did not say whether they were based on the government’s sports code.
The International Olympic Committee on Friday had threatened to disaffiliate the IOA if it followed the sports code and asked it to report about the corrective measures in a reply by November 30 to avoid suspension.
